Three leading companies in the trademark business join forces: Compu-Mark in Europe, Thomson & Thomson in North America and Brandy International in Japan, forming Thomson CompuMark. We combine research expertise, databases and technology to provide the most comprehensive and innovative products and services available.
2000 -2004
Compu-Mark resolutely chooses innovative technologies and develops unique web-based applications for the administrative management of a trademark portfolio. In addition, we continue to work for the further refinement of all our products in order to respond even better to the needs of the modern IP specialist, today and in the future.
During the '90s
Compu-Mark strengthens its European presence:

1993: Formation of the subsidiary for the French market in Paris.

1996: Check-up, an Italian trademark research bureau in Milan, becomes a part of Compu-Mark. From then on the company will also be represented in the Italian market.

1997: Skriptor, a Swedish trademark research bureau, is part of Compu-Mark. The research and watching branch of Skriptor later changes to Compu-Mark Nordic.
During the '80s
Compu-Mark takes its first step towards international representation with the opening of a subsidiary in London in 1980.
Another important milestone was entry to The Thomson Corporation in 1986, an important international group that offers integrated information solutions to business and professional clients.
During the '60s and '70s
Bureau Gevers introduces the use of punch cards, which makes it easier to consult the existing card index system and increases the quality of the trademark search.
The department of trademark searching and watching goes its own way in 1966, independently of Bureau Gevers and becomes a separate company, Docu-Mark.
The true technological revolution arrives in 1968 with the acquisition of a computer, a first in the trademark sector. From now on trademark information can be stored electronically and searches can be automated. The young company is immediately given a modern name: Compu-Mark, which stands for Computerised Trademarks.
1898
The trademark consultancy office Bureau Gevers is founded in Brussels. After some time a separate department is created that exclusively works on searching and watching trademarks. Everything is carried out manually using a card index system.
